California first in the world to ban diesel for medium- and heavy-duty fleet vehicles

The California Air Resources Board has unanimously approved a regulation to accelerate their Advanced Clean Trucks initiative. By 2036, CARB hopes all diesel trucks will be phased out and by as early as 2035 more than half of semi-trucks on Californian roads are estimated to run off zero-emission alternatives, with 70% expected for every journey come 2042. The ambitious plan ultimately aims for 100% conversion by 2025 – representing a dramatic shift towards sustainability in just five years’ time! Source
