Plug-In Electric Car Sales Surge in China, Doubling Year-Over-Year in January

Data from EV Volumes, reveals that in January, China registered 668,000 new passenger plug-in electric cars, marking a 94% increase year-over-year and accounting for 32% of all new car registrations in the country.

Of these, all-electric car registrations represented 56% of the total plug-in vehicle sales, totaling approximately 374,000 vehicles—a 55% increase from the previous year. This signifies that all-electric cars now hold about 18% of the total market share.
